APPRENTICE ELECTRICIAN

RESPONSIBILITIES:​

  • Performs evaluations and possible minor repairs on trucks and equipment
  • Performing light maintenance repairs on machines, equipment, or vehicles
  • Completes work order, maintenance log, or repair paperwork
  • Conducts safety checks on vehicles or equipment
  • Assist in heavy equipment adjustments or repairs
  • Pressure washing equipment and machines
  • Assist with unloading deliveries via operating a forklift, hand truck, or pallet jack
  • Transports vehicles of all types to work locations or repair vendors
  • Assist with keeping yard/shop clean
  • Performs other duties as assigned by manager

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & ABILITIES:

  • Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus.
  • Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms and talk or hear
  • Regularly lift and/or move objects 10-50lbs occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 lbs.
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
  • Occasionally required to sit and climb or balance

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Good attitude and willingness to work hard and learn our systems
  • Wear proper safety equipment
  • Knowledge of operating characteristics of a variety of vehicles, machines, and equipment
  • Knowledge of occupational hazards and standard safety precautions, practices, and procedures
  • Knowledge of tools, equipment, and diagnostic testing devices used in maintenance
  • Knowledge of repair and maintenance scheduling techniques and procedures

HOURS:

  • Monday through Friday 6:30 am to 4:00 pm with a 30 minute lunch, some Saturdays and alternate hours may be required.

JOURNEYMAN ELECTRICIAN

RESPONSIBILITIES:​

  • Install wiring, electrical fixtures, power equipment, following NEC and local code
  • Install control and distribution apparatus including motors, relays, switches, thermostats, and circuit-breaker panels for machine
  • Install and connect power supply wiring, cables, conduit, and electrical apparatus for machines and equipment in new and existing facilities following diagrams, schematics, or blueprints
  • Test continuity of circuits to ensure compatibility and safety of components using testing instruments
  • Diagnose and resolve problems in electrical circuits, systems, and equipment using testing instruments and equipment
  • Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble, and install electrical conduit using rulers, measuring devices, hand tools, pipe threader, and conduit bender
  • Maintain inventory of company-owned tools, equipment, and materials
  • Operate tools and equipment according to established safety procedures
  • Ensure that equipment is in safe operating condition
  • Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all company guidelines and OSHA safety requirements and also through reporting violations of policies, procedures and guidelines to immediate supervisor
  • Communicate with employees, management, vendors in a professional manner
  • Supervision of project and up to 3 people on the project

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Journeyman Electrical License
  • Experience in Commercial and Industrial Electrical Work
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and written reference materials
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instruction
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve problems
  • Ability to use hand and power tools
  • Ability to operate scissor lifts, trenchers, skidster and/or a mini excavator
  • Have a valid Journeyman or Master License issued by TDLR
  • The Supervisor or his/her designee may assign other duties and accountabilities limited to those consistent with the applicable job function and pay grade
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Must pass background check and drug test
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work from all types of ladders and perform work at various heights from ladders, scaffolds, aerial lifts, or other areas

PROJECT MANAGER

SUPERINTENDENT

EXPECTATIONS:​

  • Manage and develop foremen across multiple projects to ensure labor efficiency
  • Deliver completed projects that satisfy General Contractor expectations – on-time and profitably
  • Be solutions orientated, and communicate efficiently and effectively – with customers and coworkers

RECCURING TASKS:

  • Responsible to oversee and develop assigned foremen
  • Receive plans from Senior PM on new projects – interpret and execute to completion – Pre-Con Meetings to Punch List
  • Notify Warehouse Manager of upcoming equipment needs
  • Manage current equipment on-site, and call-off when needed
  • Conduct liaison duties between GC and CSE
  • Monitoring CPS status and Utility Provider status on active projects
  • Confirm with Safety Coordinator that necessary 811 Dig requests are active
  • Ensuring Inspections are requested and completed
  • Review weekly cost cards – labor & material costs to budget
  • Review submittals on Fixtures & Gear, plan for installation
  • Issue and track RFI’s
  • Monitor Contracted Scope of Work vs GC or owner requests, liaison with Estimator on Change Orders
  • Ensure company policies and safety standards are upheld on all projects
  • Communicate labor changes to Operations Admin
  • Review Time-Off requests from field, respond, and plan projects accordingly
  • All disciplinary actions documented or escalated SAME DAY
  • Conduct weekly site visits to all assigned projects
